Sergio Battistini grew up as a player within AC Milan's youth sector, together with Chicco Evani, distinguishing himself as one of the most promising Italian midfielders. Endowed with very good individual technical skills, tactical discipline and propensity for goal scoring, he lived the most difficult periods in the club’s history. After six seasons, during which he demonstrated his talent also as a defender, he left for Florence, at the dawning of a new era of triumphs under President Silvio Berlusconi.
