Antonini

Hard-working midfielder, Giuseppe Antonini signed for AC Milan after a positive debut with Verona, his hometown team. Deployed as half-back or inside forward for his inborn running skills and self-sacrifice, he wore Milan's jersey for twelve seasons holding the captain's armband in the last five years. Not a very successful period for the club and the midfielder who gave his best during the 1946/47 championship, scoring 6 goals, before signing for Reggiana in 1949, just when the glorious Gre-No-Li era was about to begin.
