Grown up in the youth sector of Solbiatese, after paying his dues for two seasons at Atalanta, Angelo Anquilletti joined AC Milan to build with Schnellinger, Rosato and Malatrasi the unbreakable "Maginot" defensive line of the Rossoneri. Tough, but always correct, he maniacally studied and neutralised important opponents, such as Riva, Best and Cruijff. In eleven years, he conquered a league title, four Italian Cups, a European Champion Clubs' Cup, two European Cup Winners’ Cups and an Intercontinental Cup. Unforgettable was his amazing brace against Levski Sofia in European Cup Winners' Cup.
