In the summer of 2014, Filippo Inzaghi replaced Clarence Seedorf in the Rossoneri dugout. Balotelli, Kaká and Robinho also departed, with Alex, Bonaventura, Ménez and Torres all coming in. AC Milan made a solid start, losing just two of their opening ten games (a spectacular 5-4 victory over Parma was particularly memorable), but a few too many draws prevented the Rossoneri from really pushing on in the league. The winter transfer window saw Suso, Destro and Cerci arrive - the latter joined in a swap deal involving Torres - but the team's form was poor at the start of the new year. The Rossoneri were eliminated in the Coppa Italia quarter-finals, while disappointing results in Serie A meant they slipped into mid-table. Two wins in their final two matches weren't enough to qualify for Europe, as AC Milan finished in tenth place. Among the positives from the season was Jérémy Ménez, who found the net on 16 occasions.
