AC Milan Primavera's season ends here, with a 1-1 draw against Lazio that stops our progress in the playoffs at the first hurdle. Sanà cancelled out Bartesaghi's opener, his first of the season, for the Biancocelesti, who go through the first round by virtue of finishing higher in the table in the regular season. Coach Abate's boys left everything out on the pitch in 97 minutes of action, but it untimately wasn't enough. Without the suspended Zeroli, as well as Camarda, Sala and Liberali, involved in the U17 European Championships, the Rossoneri dominated the match but found little space to threaten.
The move to make it 1-0 was excellent, started by Magni and finished off by Bartesaghi, from full-back to full-back, a highlight from the game and moves taken forward by the team in the last two seasons. However, Sanà's equaliser brought things back level and Sanderra's team was then able to sit back and defend, as they love to do. There was only one result available, victory and, despite our best efforts and multiple opportunities, it didn't happen. The 2023/24 season of the men's Primavera concludes here, but this team deserves only applause for the emotions provided across the league and Youth League campaigns. Thank you, guys!

MATCH REPORT
Both sides started nervously, with few opportunities and lots of fear. The deadlock was broken almost surprisingly in the 15th minute, when Bakoune played in Magni on the right before Vittorio's cross for Bartesaghi's at the far post, who headed home to make it 1-0. The match seemed to be in control and Lazio struggled to threaten, until the 37th minute, when Stalmach lost the ball in midfield despite being pulled back and not winning the foul; Lazio's move ended with Sanà, whose left-footed shot went through the a number Rossoneri legs to find its way past Raveyre's left. It was all to do in the second half, as the 1-1 draw was enough for Lazio.
There were no changes at the break, but Abate didn't wait long to bring on reinforcements: in the 56th minute Cuenca and Jiménez came on for Bakoune and Stalmach, and the Rossoneri pushed further up the field significantly and opportunities arrived. In the 62nd minute, Scotti volleyed but sent it over; in the 69th minute, Simić in the penalty area struck sweetly but the Biancoceleste defence cleared with a bit of luck. Magro's first great save of the match came in the 70th minute, when he stopped Scotti's powerful hit. Simmelhack also entered the fray, who took just a few seconds to go close with a header from Bartesaghi's cross. The Rossoneri threw the kitchen sink at the end, but with nothing to show for it at the end of five minutes of injury time. Lazio go through.
