The Primavera continued their fantastic start to the season, recording a resounding 7-0 victory over Virtus Entella in the round of 64 of the Coppa Italia Primavera today. At the PUMA House of Football, Coach Abate’s side approached today’s cup tie with conviction and ferocity, establishing control early on and finishing the first half five goals to the good. Indeed, a hat-trick from Camara, Sala’s finish and an unfortunate own goal all arrived in the opening period. The Rossoneri then found the net twice more after the restart through Perina and Liberali, who added to AC Milan’s advantage in a match where the result was never in doubt.
There were many debutants in the Rossoneri line-up, with Coach Ignazio Abate opting for plenty of changes compared to the team’s recent outings in the Primavera 1 division and Youth League. Raveyre and Nissen both made their first U19 appearances, with Liberali joining them in the starting eleven. Perera and Perina also entered the fray as the Diavolo dominated. Against a side that plays in the second tier, there were many convincing displays from those who haven’t featured regularly so far. Following today’s success, AC Milan will play the winners of the match between Sampdoria and Spezia in the next round. One step at a time; keep going, lads!

MATCH REPORT
Bonomi got involved straight away, first sending in a cross that Perrucci couldn’t quite convert and then firing over from the edge of the box. However, a goal was just around the corner. In the 13th minute, Sala was brought down in the area by Pisani and a penalty was awarded. Camarda stepped up and sent Sanfilippo the wrong way to make it 1-0. The Rossoneri had the wind in their sails: with 16 minutes on the clock, Sala doubled their advantage with a low left-footed strike from the edge of the area, while Camarda bagged his second of the day shortly afterwards with an unstoppable shot from the middle of the box (21’). AC Milan kept on pushing: Busicchia put the ball into his own net following good work by Jiménez down the left (26’), after which Camarda completed his hat-trick via a double deflection. The first half ended with the Diavolo 5-0 up.
AC Milan also made a strong start to the second half as Perina headed home Liberali’s corner (47’). The Rossoneri then came close through a near-post effort from Liberali (53’) and an attempt from Perina, who was thwarted by the goalkeeper. AC Milan lowered the tempo midway through the second half, opting to manage possession and preserve energy. After Sala and Perrucci had threatened in the 63rd minute, the visitors had their only chance of the game as Raveyre kept out Giacobbe’s close-range effort (77’). In the closing stages, Liberali got on the scoresheet with a powerful right-footed shot from just over 15 yards out (85’). It finished 7-0 to us.
