PRIMAVERA, A DAY TO FORGET IN NAPLES

A heavy 3-0 loss in Cercola against Napoli, all in the first half

A comprehensive defeat, the third in a row. AC Milan Primavera lose 3-0 in Naples, with all three goals being scored in the first half. A match that Frustalupi's Neapolitans led from the 6th minute with Vergara's goal. From that moment on, the Rossoneri struggled to find the physical and mental resources to react, conceding the other two goals from Saco and Ambrosino, in the 17th and 29th minutes respectively. Following the two defeats against Roma and Atalanta, a strong reaction was expected from the team, but they were unable to match the energy of the hosts.

A few bursts of energy and some flashes of desire in the second half, especially when Omoregbe entered the fray, who made several inroads down the right. There were some half chances, but too little to overturn a very unfavourable scoreline: on Wednesday the team will be back on the pitch at Vismara against Lecce, to try and get out of this rut.

MATCH REPORT
The first Rossoneri chance of the match was a free-kick won on the edge of the box by Gala in the 3rd minute and taken by Capone, but it flew over the crossbar. The hosts took the lead in the 6th minute with Vergara's sudden curled effort from the edge of the box, an impeccable strike to beat Pseftis. Napoli gained confidence and control after the goal, but the Rossoneri also didn't react well and in the 17th minute they doubled their lead through Saco, who was the first to the rebound in the area and fired a right-footed shot into the net from close range. 25 minutes in Traorè had the chance to grab one back but, after some good work by Capone to create the chance, his shot failed to test the keeper. The game carried on in the same vain and a mistake from Stanga in the 29th minute allowed Ambrosino to beats Pseftis with a chipped effort and score Napoli's third. In the 37th minute, there was a half-chance for Tolomello, who shot with his left foot inside the area: a powerful strike but far from the target. 43 minutes in, our first decent shot of the match came from Nasti, who tried to squeeze it in at the far post but it ended up going just wide.

Giunti's lads showed some renewed spirit at the beginning of the second half, threatening first with Gala and then with a left-footed shot by Capone in the 52nd minute. The real chance came from Bosisio in the 55th minute, a shot coming from Capone's corner that was only a matter of inches away from finding the back of the net. In the 73rd minute, Omoregbe's break led to a chance in the box for Gala, who couldn't find the time to turn and shoot. Again, Omoregbe went on a few runs in the final minutes but without any joy. Full-time: the third defeat on the bounce for the Rossoneri.
