THE ROSSONERE SUFFER 2-0 DEFEAT TO LAZIO

A Piemonte double seals AC Milan's last game in 2024

AC Milan faced Lazio in the 13th round of the Women's Serie A 2024/2025, suffering a 2-0 defeat. The match, held at the Stadio Mirko Fersini, saw the home team triumph thanks to a brace from Martina Piemonte, who scored in the 2nd and 52nd minutes, both times assisted by Zanoli. The Rossonere, coming off a mixed run of results, failed to turn the tide and remain at 15 points in the standings, while Lazio climb to 10 points. This defeat further complicates AC Milan's position in the race to the top.

The Rossonere tried to take control of the game, but Lazio were able to make the most of the opportunities they created. The girls showed determination, but struggled to convert their opportunities. Bakker's team tried to keep possession and create spaces, but the opposing defence proved solid. Despite the difficulties, the team continued to fight until the end, with the substitutes trying to give new life to the team. The Rossonere must now focus on improving performances to face upcoming challenges with greater confidence and determination. Forza Milan!
