The first leg of the match was played at the Arena Civica and ended in a draw: Wullaert scored for Inter and Laurent scored for the Rossonere. This time round, AC Milan will do the honours of hosting and the thrill of playing in what is known as 'la Scala del Calcio' will certainly boost the players, but also all of those who have worked with professionalism and dedication to promote women's football over the years.

Elisabet Spina, Head of Women's Football at AC Milan, shared her thoughts: "We are excited and proud, because after four years, we have this amazing opportunity to play on this pitch again, a pitch that has seen some of the world's greatest football events, giving our fans a top level of service. On that occasion, the opponents were Juventus and our project was still in its early stages. Thanks to the support and vision of all the Club's, the Women's sector has evolved, and now we can speak of professionalism. The interest keeps growing, and the technical level has risen notably. The decision to appoint Suzanne Bakker as a coach, the only female coach in Serie A with experience at Ajax, aligns with an innovative footballing vision focused on developing young talent".

The big match of matchday 12 of the Women's Serie A eBay will be live on RAI and DAZN and will have total media coverage, there will be eleven television cameras dedicated to the televised production. Additionally, in recognition of the recent International Day of People with Disabilities on December 3, three players from AC Milan and Inter, from the Paralympic and Experimental Football Division (DCPS) of the FIGC, will be mascots who will accompany the players onto the pitch. The initiative's aim is to amplify the message promoted by Serie A Femminile and DCPS: "Football is for everyone".
