AC Milan played out a goalless draw against Pomigliano on matchday 14 in the women's Serie A division. In Torre del Greco, both teams had chances to break the deadlock but couldn't find a way through. In the end, the Rossonere picked up a point that keeps them well in contention to finish in the Poule Scudetto (Championship Round) places. Although Corti's side once again missed the opportunity to pick up three points on the road, they were able to keep their first clean sheet in the league since 14 October.
Furthermore, there were several positive performances - especially from Mesjasz, Dubcová and Soffia - while Nadia Nadim came on to make her debut in the final half an hour. Today's trip brought January to an end for the Rossonere, who will be involved in both Coppa Italia (they'll play their quarter-final second leg against Sassuolo on Tuesday 6 February) and league action in the coming month. Next up is a showdown against Fiorentina at the PUMA House of Football at 15:00 CET on Saturday 3 February.

MATCH REPORT
The Rossonere made a bright start as Stašková tested Gavillet after just 40 seconds. AC Milan were looking to take the game to their opponents and generally had the better opportunities, even if Nambi threatened on a few occasions for the home side. Swaby shot narrowly wide in the 19th minute, while Bergamaschi also fired off target from a good position (25'). After a period devoid of goalmouth action, Nambi forced Babb into a mistake, but couldn't quite get a shot away. Then, just before half-time, Gavillet kept out Grimshaw's effort from just over 30 yards out.
The second half started at quite a slow pace, although AC Milan did have attempts through Soffia, whose strike was blocked by Ferrario in the 49th minute, and Dompig, who shot wide with her left foot from the edge of the box (59'). Coach Corti tried to shake things up and sent on Nadia Nadim for her debut. The new Rossonere signing had a go in the 71st minute, but to no avail. AC Milan's best chance arrived at the 74-minute mark: Dubcová found Dompig, who couldn't quite keep her powerful strike down. The hosts threatened in the 86th minute through Di Giammarino (Babb was in place to save) and Ippólito (88'), but the game finished in a stalemate.
