It ended 2-1 between Roma and AC Milan on Women's Serie A matchday 10. But the result doesn't reflect the Rossonere's performance, which was full of pride and courage against the team that is dominating the league, having now won their tenth straight match. The Rossonere took the lead through Asllani from the spot and held firm for a long while, beating back the hosts' attempts to equalise, and even came close to doubling their advantage on a couple of occasions.
The Giallorosse then came in with the quick one-two to turn it around with two goals in the space of two minutes (Giugliano and DI Guglielmo). The goals changed the entire balance of the game as Roma dictated possession and shut down any space for the Rossonere, who tried to no avail to turn it around. In spite of the result, which means the standings are unchanged for Corti's girls, there were plenty of positives to build on ahead of their next fixture, and final game of 2023: against Napoli at the PUMA House of Football on Saturday 16 December. Forza ragazze!

MATCH REPORT
It was an intense opening period at the Tre Fontane. AC Milan threatened early on through Laurent and Guagni, the latter of whom was also decisive at the other end as she made a big block to deny Haavi (6'). The Rossonere began the game bravely, trying to take the game to a Roma side who looked to dominate the game and leave the guest very little space, in which to operate. Just as the hosts were in the ascendency, the Rossonere bagged the opening goal: in the 24th minute, Stašková was brought down in the penalty area and Asllani beat Ceasar from the spot to make it 1-0. The goal changed the game as Roma found themselves trailing for the very first time in the league this season but the intensity levels remained high Piga failed to convert a tap-in from Cernoia's free-kick (28') before the hosts tried their luck through Aigbogun (37') and Haavi (44'), neither of whom tested Giuliani in the AC Milan goal.
The second half began with a wicked effort from Cernoia from outside the box but Ceasar held firm to make the stop. In the 50th minute, Stašková produced a brilliant overhead kick but it was deflected just wide of the post. Dubcová also tried her luck in the 55th minute. However, the Rossonere's good spell came to an end as Giugliano brought the hosts level, latching onto the loose ball and turning it home. Roma then bagged a quick second as Di Guglielmo fired home on the half-volley to make it 2-1 (64'). The Rossonere tried to react but the Giallorosse shut up shot. The best chance of the final stages fell the way of Marinelli but a block from Linari took all the power off the ball and Ceaser made an easy save. The final whistle arrived after four minutes of added time: 2-1 to Roma.
