9 FACTS ON TORINO v AC MILAN

The main stats as the Rossoneri's 32nd fixture of the Serie A season draws nearer

After the draw against Bologna, AC Milan are back in action in Serie A with a tricky trip to take on Torino. This matchday 32 fixture is another important crossroads as the title race is becoming ever tighter as the top three teams battle it out for the Scudetto. The last meeting between the two sides at the Stadio Olimpico Grande Torino was a successful one for the Rossoneri but tonight's game will be entirely different and AC Milan will need to be at their best. Here are a few stats and facts to get you in the mood for tonight's game:

HEAD-TO-HEAD

1- This is meeting number 152 in Serie A between Torino and AC Milan; the Rossoneri lead the record with 63 wins to the Granata's 33 (55 draws). Yet the record is reversed in Turin, as the Rossoneri have won 18 away from home to the hosts' 22 (35 draws). In spite of that, the Rossoneri could record two consecutive wins  away at Torino for the first time since 2008.

2- AC Milan have won each of the last four league games against the Granata with a total scoreline of eleven goals to nil. The last time the Rossoneri recorded five straight wins in the league against Torino was in 1952. AC Milan haven't, in fact, won five in a row against any single team since 1985: against Bari in a streak that began in 1964

CURRENT FORM

3- AC Milan have lost just once away from home so far this season (4-3 in Florence on 20 November); no team in Europe's Top-5 leagues have done better in the current campaign.

GENERAL STATS

4- On the one hand, AC Milan have been in the lead for the longest amount of time in Serie A this season (1,253 minutes), while Torino have been in the lead for the longest amount of time in home matches (736 minutes).

PLAYER FOCUS

5- Mike Maignan has the highest save percentage (77.9%) of any goalkeeper with at least 25 appearances in Serie A this season, while Vanja Milinković-Savić has the lowest (61.6%).

6- Ismaël Bennacer's next appearance will be his 100th in an AC Milan shirt in all competitions. Since his arrival at the Club in 2019/20, the Algerian has the highest average of recoveries per game (6.6) of any current AC Milan player.

7- Ante Rebić's last six Serie A goals have all come away from home, five of which were in Turin (two against Juve). The Granata are the Croatian forward's preferred victims in the division (five goals) and the only team, against whom he has scored a hattrick: in the last meeting at the Olimpico Grande Torino.

8- Franck Kessie has had a hand in three goals in his last three Serie A games against Torino: two goals and one assist. All three of the Ivorian's goals against the Granata have come from the penalty spot.

COACH FOCUS

9- Stefano Pioli has won ten of his 18 games against Torino as a coach in Serie A (D6, L2). Only against Cagliari (12) has the Rossoneri boss recorded more wins in the competition.
