This is a chance to get back to winning ways - after two defeats in the league, but also to take that next step in a competition like the Europa League. AC Milan want to continue their European journey and have the chance to do so this evening as they host Crvena zvezda at San Siro for the second leg of the Round of 32. We start level at 2-2 after last week's first leg in Serbia. Here, meanwhile, are six stats on the match, which kicks off at 21:00 CET:
- AC Milan have scored in each of their five games against Crvena Zvezda, keeping just one clean sheet in those games: at home in August 2006.
- AC Milan have hosted Crvena Zvezda on two occasions, drawing 1-1 in the European Cup in 19988/89 and winning 1-0 in Champions League qualifying in 2006/07, thanks to Filippo Inzaghi's goal.
- The last time AC Milan drew at home in European competitions was in October 2017 (0-0 v AEK Athens). Since then, the Rossoneri have won three and lost three at San Siro.
- AC Milan's seven goals scored at home in the Europa League this season have come from six different players: the only Rossoneri player to have scored two in that time was Brahim Díaz, who scored the first (v Slavia Praha) and the last (v Celtic).
- Still without a goal in the Europa League this season, Zlatan Ibrahimović could become the oldest goalscorer in AC Milan history between the European Cup/Champions League and UEFA Cup/Europa League at the age of 39 years and 118 days.
- Samu Castillejo has played more minutes (574 not including qualifying) in the Europa League than any other AC Milan player so far this season; he has made seven appearances in the competition this season. He only made more in 2015/16, when Villarreal were knocked out by Liverpool in the semi-final.
