AC MILAN 2-0 ROMA: THE KEY STATS

All of the facts and figures from our victory against the Giallorossi on Sunday

The Diavolo enjoyed a winning return to San Siro on Sunday, beating Fonseca’s Roma 2-0 thanks to goals from Rebić and Çalhanoğlu. Unsurprisingly, both the Croatian and the Turk are among the individuals listed in our top nine stats from the match. Check them out:

1- AC Milan have secured two successive home wins against Roma in Serie A for the first time since 2004, then led by Carlo Ancelotti

2- The Rossoneri kept a clean sheet against Roma at San Siro having conceded an average of 2.2 goals over the course of their last six home league matches.

3- Pioli’s side have picked up 21 points from 11 matches in 2020, as many as the Rossoneri had collected in their 17 league fixtures prior to this.

4- AC Milan have scored in each of their last 10 Serie A matches. The last time the Rossoneri achieved such a streak was back in October 2018 (when they made it to 11).

5- Alessio Romagnoli is the only AC Milan player to have featured in every match (32) in all competitions this season.

6- Until today, AC Milan had not scored a penalty since December 2019, when Piątek netted against Bologna.

7- In 2020, Ante Rebić has scored 47 per cent of AC Milan’s goals in Serie A and, with eight of the Rossoneri’s 17, he has bagged at least five more than any other player during this period. Also, all of the Croatian’s ten Serie A goals have come from open play, seven of which have been in the second half.

8- Furthermore, Rebić has scored eight goals in his last nine Serie A matches for AC Milan.

9- Hakan Çalhanoğlu scored his first goal from the penalty spot in Serie A today. The last time he found the net in this way was back in January 2017 against Hertha in the Bundesliga. Lastly, all of the Turk’s four goals for AC Milan this season have been scored at the Giuseppe Meazza.
