SERIE A 2023/24: THE BIG GAMES

Every league game has its own, undeniable appeal, but the big games can often provide every side a significant boost to their season, or completely kickstart one. Results against those around you have extra weight and games of these magnitude are what all fans are most excited to see. Many of these fixtures have been bunched together for the Rossoneri's upcoming 2023/24 season, with four of them set to be played at home in the second half of the season.

The first big clash that Coach Pioli's AC Milan side will encounter is on matchday 3 in Serie A, with a visit to Olimpico to face Mourinho's Roma. The reverse fixture will be played midway through January for matchday 20.

Following the first international break of the season, after the match against the Giallorossi, it will be derby time. The first is set for matchday 4, with AC Milan 'away from home'. This matchday has seen the two rivals meet twice in the last four seasons, with one win apiece: 2-0 for Inter in September 2019 and 2-1 for AC Milan in October 2020. Matchday 33 will host the return game.

Lazio visit the San Siro, on the weekend when September moves into October, for matchday 7. The Rossoneri will then go to Olimpico at the beginning of March on matchday 27.

Like last season, AC Milan v Juventus has been scheduled for matchday 9. On that occasion, it finished 2-0 to the Rossoneri thanks to goals from Tomori and Díaz. Allegri's Bianconeri will welcome Pioli's men to the Juventus Stadium towards the back end of the season -  at the end of April - for game number 34.

Immediately following that for matchday 10, there's a trip to Maradona for Napoli v AC Milan. The clash against Rudi Garcia's side ends the month of October, while the reverse fixture at home - matchday 24 - is set for the weekend of 11 February.

Last up is Gasperini's Atalanta: matchday 15 sees the two teams meet in Bergamo, while matchday 26 will take place at San Siro.
