AUGUST: AND SO IT BEGINS

Friendlies first, then the season begins in earnest

After having completed the first part of pre-season in July with friendlies against Pro Sesto, Modena and Nice, the Rossoneri are ramping up preparations for the coming season. The month of August will begin with three more friendlies: Valencia, Real Madrid and Panathinaikos. Coach Pioli's boys then get underway in Serie A on Monday 23 August with a trip to Marassi to take on Sampdoria, and then a matchday 2 clash with Cagliari at home on Sunday 29th. Between those two fixtures, the Champions League draw will take place on 26 August in Nyon.

WOMEN'S FIRST TEAM

The Rossonere will be in Tarvisio until 4 August, where they will play a friendly against Olimpija Ljubljana on the penultimate day of the training camp. This will then be followed by a high-class friendly against Atletico Madrid on 8 August in the Spanish capital. The big day for Ganz's girls is 17 August, however, when they take on FC Zürich in the first round of qualifying to the Women's Champions League. On 20 August, the second European fixture will take place against either Hoffenheim or Valur; if we win against Zurich, it will prove a good challenge for getting through the round. Their Serie A campaign kicks off on 29 August, the schedule for which will be announced in the coming days.
