AC Milan is pleased to announce that it has appointed Vincenzo Vergine, a graduate in Motor Sciences and Sociology, as Head of the Youth Sector.
Vergine, who held the same role for 13 years at Fiorentina, from 1 July 2006 to 31 December 2019, and then for the last two years at Roma, arrives at the Puma House of Football - Centro Sportivo Vismara in Via dei Missaglia - to strengthen the process of developing the talents in the Rossoneri's youth academy, propelling it to a leader in Italy and Europe. People and talents at the Rossoneri will continue to be at the centre of the project, as in his previous experience that has seen many young players make their debut in various European professional leagues.
The new manager will work at both the Puma House of Football and the Milanello Training Centre where the Primavera team trains for a unique pathway that embraces the Club's entire Academy.
Convinced by Milan's youth project, Vergine left Rome where, during the period under his direction, he won six trophies with the various teams of the Giallorossi's youth sector.
We wish Vincenzo Vergine well in his work.
