BENNACER'S ALGERIA QUALIFY FOR THE AFRICAN CUP OF NATIONS

It was a sweet draw for Ismaël Bennacer's Algeria on matchday 4 in Group H for qualification to the 2022 African Cup of Nations. The 2019 Continental Champions earned a point which has now mathematically secured them passage to the final phase, which will be held in January 2022 in Cameroon. Against Zimbabwe, a team they had defeated 3-1 just a few days ago, Algeria went ahead by two goals thanks to Delort and Mahrez, only to be pegged back by the goals of Musona and Dube. Isma registered 79 minutes on the pitch before being replaced just a few minutes before Zimbabwe’s equaliser. Their next fixtures come at the end of march against Zambia and Botswana.
