U15S IN CHARGE OF THEIR OWN DESTINY

With three games of the regular season to go, the Rossoneri sit in first place

It all comes down to three matches: a thrilling end to the season is in store for our U15 side. With three games of the regular season to go, AC Milan are in charge of their own destiny. Indeed, thanks to last week’s fantastic victory over Atalanta, the Rossoneri find themselves in top spot again.

Indeed, Coach Bertuzzo’s side are now above second-place Inter and hold a three-point advantage over the Orobici in third. This is significant because only the table toppers and runners-up will progress to the national knockouts. Should they win all of their remaining matches, the Rossoneri would be certain of a place in the top two of Group B.

The remaining fixtures certainly won’t be easy: the Diavolo have away matches against fifth-place Cagliari and, notably, Inter (in between those games is a home clash against Cittadella). However, the Rossoneri are in excellent form. Indeed, they’ve recorded four consecutive wins, two of which were against sides flying high in the table: Atalanta and fourth-place Hellas Verona, who are not yet out of the running to finish in the top two.

It's been all about the collective for our U15s. Against La Dea, both defender Mercogliano and midfielder Pisati scored for the first time this season, meaning the Rossoneri have had 16 different goalscorers this campaign. That’s certainly an impressive number. Currently topping AC Milan’s goalscoring charts is Luca Menon, who also got on the scoresheet against Atalanta and, in doing so, reached double figures for the season. He’s part of group that continues to grow week after week and game after game.
