WOMEN'S U17, A PERFECT RUN

Coach Treccani's Rossonere taste only victory, as they take a well-earned break

The first half of the season can only be described as one thing for the Women's Under 17s: perfect. Current champions of Italy, lifting the title in June 2022, they have started off the season impeccably.

Eleven wins out of eleven and no slip ups. Leading the Rossonere now is Fabio Treccani, who replaced Vincenzo De Martino (now part of Maurizio Ganz's staff), but the trend hasn't changed one bit: only victories.

At the end of this first regional phase, only two games remain, against Rivazzanese and Riozzese, before the inter-regional phase gets underway midway through February. The goal is to reach the Final Eight and consequently be in with a chance to defend their trophy and win it for the second year running

Here's Coach Treccani's take on the season so far: "Myself and the staff are really pleased with the availability and work put out by the girls in every training session; they always have a smile on their faces. The weekly work done on the training field reflects the results earned, and this creates enthusiasm and makes the game more fun to play. But above all, it helps them to realise that the journey everyone has taken is the right one. And the best is still to come."
