My first time at San Siro was in 2004. AC Milan v Brescia, the last game of the season and the Scudetto had been wrapped up early that year. As a reward for doing well at school, my grandpa booked me into the “Milan Camp” for a day. I was expecting to play football with other kids and then head off to the stadium to enjoy the match. That was what I’d expected, but what happened was so much more. When I got to the camp, we were told we’d be part of the stand choreography celebrating the title! I’ll never forget seeing the players walk by as I was sitting at pitch-side.
I was so close, it felt like I held my breath for the entire match out of shyness. The intensity of the match, the class of Rui Costa, the grit of Gattuso and Sheva’s goal! I was delighted. The packed stadium exploded with an incredible roar. That match was also Roberto Baggio’s last and the whole crowd gave him a standing ovation. That day is etched onto my Rossonero heart!

To experience such a day is a dream come true for any young Rossonero: a surprise pitch-side seat! On the day of the Scudetto celebration, no less. What a great memory, Federico!
