UEFA has announced the dates and kick-off times for this season’s Champions League group stage fixtures. The draw in Montecarlo placed the Rossoneri in Group F alongside PSG, Borussia Dortmund and Newcastle. Coach Pioli’s men will kick off their European campaign against the English team at San Siro.
While the Rossoneri have never faced Newcastle, they’ve played the French side on four occasions in Europe’s elite competition, with the last meeting coming in 2000/01. AC Milan have a positive record, too, following two wins and two draws. Meanwhile, the Diavolo have had six encounters with Die Schwarzgelben, winning three, drawing one and losing two of these matches. The teams last met during the second group stage of the 2002/03 Champions League season, which AC Milan went on to win.
