PULISIC IS THE MVP FROM AC MILAN v CAGLIARI

A first brace of the season for Chris in the 5-1 win over Cagliari

A brace - his first for the Rossoneri - to reach 15 goals for the season, twelve of which in the league. Christian Pulisic is once again the star of the show in the Rossoneri’s dominant 5-1 win over Cagliari on matchday 36 in Serie A. The American, deployed on the left in the first half and returning back to the right in the second half, stepped up a gear after the break, grabbing the goal to make it 2-0 with his left foot and the his side’s fifth with his right.

With these numbers, Chris (twelve) has become the first AC Milan midfielder to score more than ten goals, not counting penalties, in a single season of the competition since Kaká in 2005/06 (eleven). Not a bad debut season in Serie A: when Pulisic scores in the league, AC Milan (almost) always win; the only exception being the 4-2 defeat in Monza.

It was his first time on the scoresheet since AC Milan 3-0 Lecce on 6 April, our last victory before the 5-1 win over the Sardinians. His first double for the Club also came on the night where he wore the home shirt that bore his mother’s surname on it, Kelley Harlow, who was also a footballer in younger age at George Mason University. From her, and his father, he inherited the passion for football, and the Rossoneri fans are grateful to them again, as well.

Chris deservedly earns the MVP title from AC Milan v Cagliari, as voted by the Rossoneri fans on the AC Milan Official App, with over 53% of the vote, ahead of Bennacer and Reijnders, two other goalscorers on the night. There are now just two more games to finish off the season and provide more satisfaction and, why not, boost those already excellent statistics.
