Born in Buenos Aires in 1894, Cesare Lovati was only sixteen years old when he started his long career with Milan. He was just 1.70 m tall, but he looked as a giant to his opponents. He played left inside in a hard-fighting midfield where the very good Scarioni, Morandi and Soldera also emerged. Impetuous and determinate, in the period of the Great War he accumulated over 100 appearances with Milan and won the Federation Cup in 1916.
