The All Time stakes are the true historic credentials of any top club. The trophy cabinet, the records, the former players, but above all the goals are paramount. They are moments of joy and huge emotion. The goalscoring stats from every period of Rossoneri history are full of glory.
There are ten AC Milan heroes who have scored more than 100 goals in official games for the Club. Of course, at the top of that list is Pompierone, the middle point of Gre-No-Li, the formidable Swedish trio compiled of Gunnar Gren, Gunnar Nodahl and Nils Liedholm. The great Andriy Shevchenko fought tirelessly to overcome that record, but after seven years in Milan (from 1999-2006), the outstanding Ukrainian forward reached 175 goals.
Some fan-favourites also stand out, from Gianni Rivera to José Altafini, from Filippo Inzaghi to Marco van Basten, from Kaká to Pierino Prati. But in this top goalscoring list there is also a Number 9 from the 20s, Giuseppe Santagostino, called Pin, with his 106 goals as a player (he went on to be Assistant Coach at AC Milan in the 50s), as well as Aldo Boffi, chief goal-getter in the 30s and 40s, who won Serie A top goalscorer in 1938/39 as the first Rossoneri to do so, and then repeated the feat in 1939/40 and 1941/42.
Just behind that Top 10, comes Albertino Bigon on 90 goals and Renzo Burini on 88. Zlatan Ibrahimovic is also pending on this list, as a still-active player who will start the 2021/22 season on 84 Rossoneri goals.
